Britain's Got Talent: Judges think they have found a star. Pic: ITV
The Britain's Got Talent judges have reportedly found "a new Susan Boyle" during this year's auditions.
Jonathan Antoine's performance reminded head judge Simon Cowell of the first time he saw the Scots singer perform.
The audience were not impressed when the 17-year-old walked on stage with singing partner Charlotte Jaconelli.
However, Jonathan's operatic voice wowed the judges at the Hammersmith Apollo in London.
Simon said: "I think London may have the winner this year."
He then reportedly whispered to guest judge Carmen Electra: "It was like Susan all over again."
The two teenagers have been friends after meeting in a music class two years ago.
The audience gave the duo a standing ovation but after all the other judges voted 'yes' Simon hesitated, saying he though Jonathan should go solo.
To cheers of approval Jonathan said: "We've come on here as a duo and we're gonna stay as a duo."
Simon said: "My head says for you to dump her but my heart wants to say there was something magical to the two of you. So I'm saying yes."
Cowell later tweeted: "Loving London auditions. Saw a 17-year-old singer who is off the chart good."
