Dawn French has admitted she has a fondness for X Factor boss Simon Cowell.
The 54-year-old is best known as one half of comedy duo French and Saunders with friend Jennifer.
She told Woman: "I've been stalking Simon.
"Although I've never met him, I have this running joke with Jen about wanting to pin him down - and, y'know, I could do that."
The music mogul is also a fan of Dawn's comedy and plans to create a TV food competition to rival Masterchef.
Cowell has said that he thinks the comedian will make the perfect host.
However, Dawn has recently lost 7st 7lb, so Simon wants her to gain a few pounds before she gets in front of the camera.
Dawn said: "I'd love to work with Simon Cowell.
"For him, I might just be up to the challenge of putting some weight back on!"
