Romeo and Nicola McLean reveal what really went on during the Celebrity Big Brother `Pantsgate' incident.

The duo have admitted that the screaming matches got so bad that the house was put into lockdown.

The incident started when Denise Welch pulled down Karissa Shannon's pyjama bottoms.

Denise said it was just a prank and the Playboy twin should not complain as she stripped off for a living.

Nicola defended the girls saying Denise had been "out of order".

Romeo and McLean have revealed that Big Brother bosses had to intervene.

The twins caused more trouble when they said they had called the police to arrest Frankie Coccozza for alleged "sexual harassment".

Housemates were then split up into separate rooms to prevent any fights.

Romeo told the Daily Star: "One minute the girls were all dancing and singing Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and then it exploded.

"Karissa stormed into the garden and told me Denise had pulled her pants down and she was not happy. I thought it was a joke but the twins took offence."

He added: "Everyone was so angry and I knew it was going to be hard to calm this down."

McLean insists she only joined in the argument to defend the twins.

She said: "I stepped in because I am an ex-Page 3 girl and have exposed my body for a living.

"Just because I have done that doesn't mean people have a right to lift my top up or pull my pants."

Romeo said when Frankie stepped into defend the Loose Women presenter the twins turned on him.

Romeo added: "The twins came out of the diary room.

"They ran around shouting that they had told Big Brother they had asked for the police to come claiming he was sexually harassing them.

"Frankie had been flirting with them the whole time they had been there. But he was just being Frankie. And I think that night they were just plucking at reasons to kick off."

Nicola added that although she stuck up for the twins over the `Pantsgate' incident the twins accusations against Frankie were laughable.

She said: "He didn't sexually harass anyone.

"I didn't find him offensive. He behaved exactly how a 19-year-old lad would in a house with Playboy twins and models.

"I never had a go at him. We got on great."
