Coronation Street's Leanne Barlow is to be left devastated after her husband Peter confesses that he loves Carla Connor.
Peter (Chris Gasgoyne) has to confesses his fellings for Carla (Alison King) in the aftermath of Frank Foster's rape trial.
As previously reported, Peter and Carla's affair will apparently be exposed in court when pictures of the pair kissing - taken by a private investigator working for Frank (Andrew Lancel) - are submitted in court.
Peter later tells Leanne, according to the Daily Star: "Okay, it's time for the truth.
"I didn't want you to find out like this, but I love Carla and we want to be together."
Following her husband's confession, Leanne (Jane Danson) packs her bags and leaves Weatherfield.
It has been rumoured that Danson will be taking a few months off as part of the storyline.
However, a Corrie spokesperson said the actress was only taking a two-week holiday.
Danson recently admitted she hoped that Peter and Leanne would find happiness together.
She said: "I do think that to make any future happy times believable, they have to be apart for a considerable amount of time."
