Joan Collins is apparently to make a cameo appearance in the next series of Downton Abbey.
Producers of the period drama are reportedly keen to sign up Collins for a role in the third series.
Filming is set to begin in spring 2012 with the series returning to our screen in the autumn.
It is rumoured that Joan will play a cousin of Dame Maggie Smith's character Violet Crawley.
A source told the Daily Express: "A number of cameos are being planned for the next series and Joan's name is top of the list.
"It's hoped she can be persuaded to appear in at least one episode."
Former I'm A Celeb... star Nigel Havers made a guest appearance as fortune hunger Lord Hepworth in the Christmas special of the hit show.
Meanwhile, Coronation Street star Kym Marsh recently admitted she would like to join her former co-star Rob James-Collier in the drama.
Rob played footman and later Lord Grantham's valet Thomas in the show.
