X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed that she has become more "confident" since appearing on the show.
The 23-year-old mentored the winners Little Mix and is grateful for the opportunity to move away from N-Dubz.
She told Now magazine: "I've become my own woman, not 'the N-Dubz bird'.
"Getting away from the band and finding out what I want to do has given me confidence.
"You know how I used to spend so much time stressing? Now I can enjoy life."
Tulisa also criticised reports that she was on the verge of a breakdown due to the stress of her X Factor role.
She said: "I was in Tesco and saw this headline saying - 'Tulisa can't take it anymore!'.
"But here I am strolling around the supermarket...It's all made up."
