Scottish star David Tennant is set to in a new Shrek special showing on TV screens this Christmas.
The actor is best known for his role in Doctor Who, though after leaving the BBC show has appeared in vampire movie Fright Night and Busby Babes drama United.
Now the 40-year-old is going behind the screen to narrate hour-long BBC 3 special Shrek: Once Upon A Time.
In the programme the Scottish actor will reveal ways in which “an ogre with a Scottish accent single-handedly changed the face of animation”.
He’ll be talking the audience through the blockbuster movies and chatting with the film's stars including Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz.
Tennant is also putting his voice to good use in other projects, including animated pirate adventure The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists and Postman Pat: The Movie - You Know You're the One.
