Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh all want to return to The X Factor.

When asked about the 2012 series, all the judges claimed they wanted to be back on the panel.

Walsh said at a news conference: "We're only as good as the talent that walks through the door.

"We all work really hard. We always do."

He added: "It's all about this year at the moment. We know absolutely nothing [about 2012]."

Meanwhile, the panelists also seem unclear whether Simon Cowell would be making appearance during the final.

Walsh said: "We know Simon watches the show every week, but I think he's concentrating on the US show more than this one at the moment."

Barlow commented: "I don't think he is [coming]."

Kelly added that Cowell would have no problem with telling the judges if he thought their acts were not up to scratch.

She said: "If Simon wants us to know something, trust us, he'll let us know."

Marcus Collins, Amelia Lily and Little Mix are all competing in the final at Wembley Arena.
