Pippa Middleton has apparently been invited to spend Boxing Day with the Royal Family at the Sandringham Estate.
The Royal Family traditionally gather at Sandringham for a Boxing Day pheasant shoot.
Usually only members of the Royal family attend, but it is thought that the Duchess of Cambridge's sister has been invited to make Kate feel more at home during her first Christmas away from her family.
A source told the Mail on Sunday: "Kate will of course miss her family on Christmas Day - she has traditionally spent it with them.
"She wants Pippa to join her at Sandringham on Boxing Day because it will make being apart from her family at Christmas a little easier."
They added: "It's unusual for non-family members to receive an invitation, but William wants Kate to feel comfortable and he knows having her sister there will mean a great deal to her."
Pippa is said to be "very keen" to take part in the shoot.
It will also provide a distraction for the 28-year-old, who split from her boyfriend Alex Loudon last month.
