X Factor: Jade Richards reveals truth about Judges’ Houses stv.tv caught up with Jade Richards ahead of her performance at SAVI-Fest at Glasgow’s Barrowlands last week.

Despite being put out at the Judges’ Houses stage on The X Factor, the Scottish singer has nothing but praise for the show and the experience it affords wannabe singers.

She said: “I honestly think it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, it’s such a good platform for artists to get noticed.”

Fans took to Twitter to air their disgust when Kelly Rowland sent Jade packing, but the 21 year old insists the Destiny’s Child star was lovely and extremely supportive towards all the hopefuls.

“She was really nice. She came in and spoke to us after giving us the results and saying no. She gave us a pep talk to feel better about it.”

Jade didn’t witness the bitching and backstabbing that came to a head this weekend, when Louis Walsh accused Misha Bryan of bullying one of his contestants.

She said: “To be fair, we were really lucky cause all the girls got on really well so there was no talking behind each other backs.”

Jade admitted the plane ride back from Miami was extremely emotional as the girls returned to the UK together, with some ecstatic that they had made it to Live Shows, while others were devastated that their X journey was over.

“Obviously the plane ride home was kind of gutting cause as soon as you get the news you just want to be with your family and friends.”

With no hard feelings, Jade has been watching the series and she is backing her old roommate Sophie Habibis and boyband The Risk.

“I reckon The Risk could win. I think they’ve got a really good mentor who’s involved with them. For a band that’s only been together for a few weeks, how good could they be in a year?”

With gigs aplenty in the pipeline, Jade has a bright future ahead of her, but it might not be her last brush with The X Factor.

Speaking of the possibility of auditioning again next year, The Fife star said: “I would never rule out. I had such a good experience and time and I did learn a lot about the industry and myself.”
