Simon Cowell has reportedly told new X Factor judge Gary Barlow to go on a diet before the live shows.
The music mogul has allegedly contacted the Take That singer and told him to lose a few pounds.
Now magazine reported an "insider" as saying:: "Gary needs to eat lots of vegetables and lean protein in the evening and there's also a ban on sugar."
They added: "Simon knows that Gary, along with the other judges, wants to look good on the panel and he thinks he's helping.
"The fact he has to diet himself means Simon has no sympathy for anyone else who's packing a few extra pounds."
But a spokesman for Barlow denied the story outright and criticised the magazine for running it even after they had been told it was not true. Richard Dawes at DawBell, Barlow's press agency said: "'This story is completely untrue and we told them [the magazine] that when they put the story to us."
Louis Walsh recently said that Gary already takes his heath seriously. Walsh told the Daily Mail: "Gary says he's not as vain as Simon but he has his own chef.
"He has all his meals prepared for him. He's very careful about what he eats, when he eats and how much.
"Don't forget he was the tubby one in Take That. He looks good now but looking like that takes work."
