Robert Pattinson has said he thought his girlfriend Kristen Stewart looked like "an alien" during scenes from the latest Twilight movie.
The actor described the scene in Breaking Dawn - Part 1 in which Stewart's character Bella Swan's baby begins to eat her from the inside, as "ghastly".
He told Premiere: "There are scenes where Bella looks like an alien.
"When the baby eats her from inside, she looks so thin and ghastly.
"Kristen had to wear this horrible make-up and when I'd see her come on set, I'd ask the crew, 'Are you sure we're filming Twilight? Isn't it supposed to be harmless and PG-13?'."
Pattinson recently admitted that filming the sex scenes with Stewart was "uncomfortable".
The 25-year-old confessed he felt shy about being shirtless on camera because he felt his body could not compete with co-star Taylor Lautner.
Robert told website TVMovie: "Oh yes! I felt really uncomfortable.
"No, a fear had rather something to do with Taylor and his fantastic body.
"Jacob, as a werewolf, has bared all already in the last two films. And to be honest, I can't keep up with him."
However, he insists the sex scenes feel real and are "emotional".
He said: "They're very emotional scenes.
"For the first time I felt like a human, not like a vampire."
