X Factor's Craig Colton has revealed that he was so nervous about how his parents would react to his audition, that he forgot some of the words.
The 22-year-old singer impressed the judges with his performance of Adele's Hiding My Heart.
He told the judges that his parents were in the audience but had not idea he was auditioning.
After his audition Gary Barlow said: "You seem really shocked by the reaction of the audience, as everyone were on their feet, and rightly so, you deserve all the applause you got today."
However, Colton told The Sun: "I thought my mum was having a heart attack, she was so proud.
"I was nervous the whole way through. I was shaking. At one point I messed the words up and it was a bit of a dodgy note."
"I was auditioning to change my life in front of 7,000 people and my parents. I didn't make it easy for myself."
Craig admitted that emotion got the better of him once he had left the stage.
He said: "I was just crying when I came off stage, it was pure excitement, happy tears."
