Scottish actress and singer Clare Grogan has been announced as the host of the brand new STV series Scotland’s Greatest Album.
The Gregory’s Girl star will front the interactive show, which gives viewers the chance to vote for their favourite songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s, ultimately compiling what they believe is “Scotland’s Greatest Album”.
Each week audiences will get the chance to pick their favourite tracks from an expert panel list of 15 songs from each decade.
And the big reveal will come in episode five, when "Scotland’s Greatest Album" is unveiled, with the top three tracks from each decade, as chosen by viewers, included.
STV has teamed up with the Scottish Sun and Real Radio in a unique partnership deal, which sees the three leading media companies working together in the production and promotion of the new series.
The Sun and Real Radio will both encourage listeners and readers to join in the debate, promoting the show via stories based on the many interviews featured in the series - as well as the crucial countdown to the unveiling of Scotland’s Greatest Album.

Alan Clements, the director of content at STV, said: “This is a unique collaboration whereby STV will produce a new five-part series that will really capture the imagination of music fans across Scotland, supported by two fantastic Scottish brands in Real Radio and the Scottish Sun.
”Scotland’s Greatest Album has already provoked huge debate in the production phase, so we’re delighted to be working together on what we’re confident will be a great, interactive series that’ll have everybody talking.”
Andy Harries, editor of the Scottish Sun, said: "There is already a huge buzz around this unique project which unites Scotland's top three media groups for the first time
"Scots are famously passionate about their music and everyone will have an opinion on what should be on Scotland's greatest album. The Scottish Sun can't wait for the great debate to start, on screen, on air and in print."
Gavin Bruce, managing director of Real Radio, added: “I’m delighted Real Radio has partnered STV and the Scottish Sun on such an innovative project.
"Creating this brand new TV and Radio show has reminded me of the part our nation has played in popular music over the last four decades and I have no doubt that Scots, passionate and patriotic as we are, will love to debate the shortlists and have their say on what tracks should make the final twelve.”
