Kelly Rowland is bringing a touch of US glamour to the X Factor this year and the Destiny’s Child star is not afraid to flaunt her fabulous figure – we’re wel jel!
With all that dancing, shimmying and shaking of her jelly, it’s no wonder Miss Rowland has the most perfect pins in the business and it seems we’re going to be seeing a lot more of them when X Factor hits our screens next week.
The bootylicious babe proved she was out to capture our attention, as well as our hearts, when she rocked up to the first X Factor audition in a tummy skimming yellow top and mini skirt.
N-Dubz star and fellow judge Tulisa opted for a much more demure, but equally glam, jumpsuit and that is going to be the beauty for eagle-eyed fashion watchers on this year’s show: we have two very different but just as gorgeous style queens to drool over – yay!
Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue paved the way for weekly fash-offs and we can’t wait to see these girls do battle.
We caught up with Mekel Bailey, stylist X-traordinaire to Kelly Rowland, to talk all things fashion, dahhling, and she revealed some of the secrets behind the star’s sexy but sophisticated style.

Mekel, who did you work with before Kelly?
My colleague Joel Dash and I have worked with lots of urban acts that include Nicki Minaj and N-Dubz.
Is it handbags at dawn between Kelly and Tulisa?
No way! There is no battle of the dresses or competitiveness. They get on really well and focus on what they are there for – to judge talent!
How would you describe Kelly’s style?
Mega glam! Kelly always tells me to dress her provocatively but respectively. She’s very sexy and all those work-outs mean she is very comfortable in her own skin.
Kelly always looks camera-ready, do you have any tips for us?
Kelly has an incredibly lean and toned physique so she suits body-con dresses and anything that emphasises her teeny-tiny waist and long legs. Kelly always says, ‘be yourself, love yourself.’
