Ya dancer!: Strictly Come Dancing details revealed
Strictly speaking, it’s the summer and we shouldn’t be thinking about what television we will be curling up in front of this Autumn… but we can’t help it. It’s just too exciting.
With X Factor set to kick off on August 20, it can mean only one thing: Strictly Come Dancing will also be cha cha-ing back onto our screens.
The BBC has announced that the ninth series will begin with a double bill at the end of September.
For those of you desperate to know who will be slipping into spandex this year, you won’t have long to wait. The celebrities will be unveiled at the start of September.
Amongst the famous faces tipped to be taking part are; Pippa Middleton (hmmm we’re not holding out much hope for this one), Richard Madeley, Robbie Savage, Russell Grant, Gregg Wallace and Barbara Winsdsor.
Much loved presenters Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly will host a red carpet event for the announcement, which will be recorded on the afternoon of September 7.
The first live shows will air on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1.
There after, they will continue on a weekly basis.
A special episode of the show, in aid of Children in Need, will be broadcast from Wembley Arena on November 19.
The live final will take place on December 17 and for the first time ever, this will be held in Blackpool's Tower Ballroom.
