Cheryl Cole's trip to Los Angeles has not just been a holiday, the singer has also been working hard on her new album.
Cole was axed as a judge on the US X Factor in May. Her place on the judging panel was taken by Nicole Scherzinger.
She returned to the UK to get over the debacle but has recently returned to the States.
The 28-year-old has been recording at the Sunset Marquis hotel's famous studios, where Madonna and Cyndi Lauper created their hits.
A source told The Sun: "Cheryl has loved working at the studios.
"Some of the female singers that have worked there before are her all-time heroes.
"It's been the perfect place for Cheryl to plunge head-first back into work again."
Meanwhile, Cheryl has reportedly reunited with her ex-husband Ashley and may be planning to move to America.
Chelsea footballer Ashley is said to bought a £2million private beach-front estate for the couple in the Malibu Colony, where they will have Demi Moore and Mel Gibson as neighbours.
Local shannon Navarro said: "I've lived here all my life.
"I'm in a band and the ocean is very inspirational to musicians. Cheryl will love it here."
