Tina Malone's daughter has won a role in 'Hollyoaks'.
The 'Shameless' actress has been campaigning for two years for 29-year-old daughter Danielle to get a full-time job in TV and her dreams have finally come true after she landed a part in the Channel 4 soap, after previously appearing in occasional episodes.
Tina - who plays Mimi Maguire in 'Shameless' - said: "Two years of trying to get her a job and she just kept getting episodes and now she's gone full-time."
Tina also revealed how there were similarities in their careers as Danielle's first film scene was with 'Boardwalk Empire' actor Stephen Graham.
She said: "It's just so bizarre. The first scene I ever did in my life 23 years ago was with a 16-year-old Stevie Graham."
Danielle is not the only famous offspring to have won a role in 'Hollyoaks'.
Keith Duffy's 15-year-old son, Jay, will play newcomer Declan Brady, the son of bad boy gangster Brendan (Emmett J. Scanlan) and Eileen Brady (Rachel Doherty).
While the youngster will first feature in the soap in a guest role, his alter-ego will become a central character in 'Hollyoaks' by the end of the year.
