Britain’s Got Talent 2013 saw an egg-splosive end to the series when former BGT hopeful Natalie Holt through eggs at Simon Cowell, during Richard and Adam Johnson’s performance.
Now, the talented brothers have spoken out about Natalie’s actions, admitting she ‘destroyed their dream’ and ruined their moment to shine.
Richard told The Sun: “She said she was protesting about music not being performed properly, but we were there singing our hearts out, performing live and she ruined it.
“She has destroyed our dream. She might regret it now and say sorry, but it’s too late for us — we will never get that moment back. It’s gone forever.”
Clearly devastated, he added: “We just can’t help but think that what she did cost us any chance we ever had of winning.”
Richard and Adam went on to come third in the competition – an incredible achievement.
They were beaten to the top spot by shadow dancers Attraction, with comedian Jack Carroll taking second place.
Determined not to go back to sandwich making and follow their hearts into the music industry, Richard said: “We don’t want to dwell on things, we just want to move on with our career.”
