Dancing On Ice professional Nina Ulanova has defended her celebrity partner Steven Arnold.
Arnold, who was eliminated from the show on Sunday, was criticised for sleeping through an alarm and missing a training session.
However, the Russian skater insisted the former Coronation Street actor was fully committed to the show.
Speaking on This Morning, she said: "He is a such a hard worker.
"The last two weeks he has really been working hard and he was doing five or six hours every day."
Arnold admitted that he made a mistake by sleeping in and missing his practice session.
He said: "I don't think it did me any favours, I did sleep in.
"But I worked so hard for the two weeks after that, skating five or six hours every day. I tried to make up for it, but it was a mistake to sleep in."
He added: "I've really enjoyed the show. I'm not the best, I'm not the most natural. I never expected to do anything like this and I've enjoyed it so much."
