Brooke Vincent admits she gets letters from fans asking for advice.

Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent has revealed that she is often asked for advice from viewers struggling with their sexuality.

Vincent, who plays lesbian Sophie Webster in the Weatherfield drama, insisted that she loves to hear from fans.

Often they find themselves in similar situations to her character and Brooke often replies with advice.

She told the Daily Star Sunday: “I love the fact Sophie is a lesbian. I love playing the character.

“Strangers message me all the time to let me know how they are getting on with their relationships.

“They tell me about their coming-out experiences. It's nice people can relate to me or my character and that I can help them just by going to work.”

Vincent added: “I guess you could say I've become an agony aunt. I try to reply to as many as I can.”

The actress revealed that she would love to see Helen Flanagan return to Corrie as her on-screen sister Rosie.

She said: “No-one else could play that character but Helen. [She] is lovely and crazy and I miss her.”
