Dancing on Ice 2013 kicks off this Sunday with a new twist added to the show.
Torvill and Dean revealed the exciting news at yesterday’s glittering press launch, which saw this year’s celebrities dazzle in their spectacular costumes.
Jayne and Chris explained that ‘Save Me Skates’ would be introduced for the first time in the series, which will see the bottom two skaters in the public vote taking to the ice to perform their own routines.
The stars will have to work with their pro partners to choreograph and produce a skate they think can save them from elimination.
Amongst those getting set to get their skates on are Pamela Anderson, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle and EastEnders heartthrob Matt Lapinskas.
We will also see the return of Keith Chegwin, who was due to take part last year, but was injured during training.
Find our more about this year’s contestants and the series on our official Dancing on Ice site and tune in from 6.15pm this Sunday to watch the competition commence.
