Celebrity Big Brother has started with 12 contestants entering the reality house.
They include several soap stars, US reality TV veterans, a popstar and a glamour model.
Claire Richards from Steps is one of the new housemates who joined the Channel 5 show.
The singer insisted her battle with her weight would not affect her time in the house, saying: “It's not going to rule my life anymore.”
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt found fame on US series The Hills and have been described in their home country as "reality TV villains".
Spencer is a born-again Christian who released a book in 2009, titled How to Be Famous that claimed "sexy girls get all the attention, not good girls".
His wife Heidi had ten plastic surgery procedures in one day, including a nose job, fat injections in her cheeks, neck liposuction and buttock implants.
Also entering the house is 20-year-old Bedford model Lacey Banghard, who has appeared in Nuts magazine and as a Page 3 model in the tabloid press.
Banghard has said she is fed up of jokes about her name, claiming that she's heard every single one from men chatting her up in clubs.
Jockey Frankie Dettori, who is currently suspended from racing for failing a surprise drugs test, is one of the new housemates.
Former footballer Neil 'Razor' Ruddock is reportedly a last minute addition after comic Jim Davidson pulled out.
Soap stars taking part this year include former EastEnders actress Gillian Taylforth, Neighbours actor Ryan Moloney, ex-Coronation Street star Sam Robertson, and former Heartbeat star Tricia Penrose.
X Factor singer Rylan Clark is taking part and has the backing of his friend Katie Price, who has promised to support him on twitter.
Model Paula Hamilton, who once dated Simon Cowell, completes the Celebrity Big Brother line-up for 2013.
