Union J looking forward to Best of British week.

X Factor act Union J have a special performance planned for this weekend’s Best of British themed show.

The programme will air on the eve of Remembrance Sunday and so the boyband are dedicating their performance to George Shelly’s brother, Will, who is currently serving in the Royal Marines.

Will has served several tours of duty and George’s mum said the boys wanted to mark his bravery.

She told This Is Somerset: “George has a special place in his heart for the Royal Marines as his brother is a serving Royal Marines Commando.

“The theme of this weekend is Best of British and George and Union J feel that our forces are one of the best things about Britain.”

Toni added: “The band wanted to show the nation their respect for the Armed Forces on Remembrance weekend.

“I think it will be quite an emotional performance for George and the boys.

“As a family we all have the greatest of respect for the British military.”

Meanwhile, the boyband have recently had their photos taken for their winners’ single, which only gets used if they triumph in the final.

Band member Josh tweeted: “Just did a photo shoot for the winning single!! Hopefully the next time we see the pictures it will be on that CD cover (we pray lol) josh x”
