Alex Reid has earned respect from fans for his performance during the fight with Tom `Kong' Watson.
The 35-year-old lost the bout but was cheered by fans for his brave performance which arguable saw him win the first two rounds of the five round match.
The Celebrity Big Brother winner was later taken to hospital with a suspected fractured eye socket.
After doctors released him, Alex returned to his and Katie Price's £2million home in Surrey.
Leading plastic surgeon Richard Price, from the Nuffield Hospital, Cambridge, told the Daily Star: "A patient presenting to me with a damaged eye socket and fractured cheekbone would be facing a very delicate operation."
Reid will face further hospital tests to determine the extent of his injuries following the British Association of Mixed Martian Arts fight at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.
Heavyweight boxer David Haye, wrote on Twitter: "Huge respect to both warriors. Can't wait for the rematch."
Reid was supported by his wife Katie Price who watched the match with her brother and a number of friends.
She later tweeted: "I'm sure you all agree Alex proved himself."
