Big Brother 9 contestant Mikey Hughes has admitted that he is bitterly disappointed that there are no Scottish contestants on Ultimate Big Brother.
The DJ – who was well known for his outspoken and controversial views during his time on the show – called the fact that no Scots have been featured on this year’s series a blatant “fingers-up to Scotland”.
Speaking to stv.tv, Mikey said: “It’s a fingers-up to Scotland, out of all the Scottish housemates they’ve had there’s none in the house.
“It’s disgusting. You’ve got Cameron (Stout) who won, you’ve got Jason (Cowen), and what about Shabaz (Chauhdry)?”
Hughes added: “I’m not saying there was discrimination…but this year they’ve had no Scottish people on and I thought there might be a few people. I was at the Glasgow auditions (in January) and there were a good few characters. It’s disgusting, it’s bang out of order.”
Meanwhile, Mikey thinks that Nikki Grahame is one of the hot contenders to walk away with the Ultimate Big Brother crown at tonight’s final.
He said: “I think Nikki should win out of the contestants, she’s making more of an effort to move forward. It must be quite hard for her in there, she’s known for gimmicks.” Mikey added: “Out of all the characters in the house I think there’s more development in her than anyone else.”
The Ultimate Big Brother final takes place tonight – keep checking back on stv.tv tonight, September 10, for all the latest news and gossip about the show.
