Daybreak's features editor has claimed that the newly launched breakfast programme will not be a copy of The One Show.
Irish presenter Grainne Seoige admits that there will be "obvious" comparisons made because the main presenters Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley both moved from The One Show.
She told the Daily Mirror: "I never measure against anyone else or compare my work to anyone else, I just do what I do."
Seoige added: "Obviously Christine and Adrian did work on The One Show and now they work here and they have brought their great relationship with them.
"It's obvious people would look at that and The One Show and make comparisons, but that's not for me to make."
She added: "I'm just here to do a good job and do the best job I can do. We're not here to ape anyone else."
Meanwhile, former GMTV host Eamonn Holmes revealed that he had declined a role on Daybreak, choosing to remain at Sky News.
He said: "I was asked to do it, yes, but I've no regrets about saying no.
"I've found a very natural home at Sky News. I've had my time, it's time for somebody else to have theirs."
