Think outside the box: The Cube returns to TV

The Cube returns to STV this September, to put more contestants to the ultimate test of skill, agility and determination.

Phillip Schofield returns for the second series of the popular programme, which sees members of the public battle against The Cube in a number of different tasks and challenges, in the hope of winning the top prize of £250,000.

Contestants will undergo seemingly simple tasks which aren’t quite as easy as they first look, with each round getting harder and harder as they move up the board and closer to the big money. They will need nerves of steel and great skill if they want to beat The Cube - and only time will tell if they are up to it.

Tasks this year include straightforward challenges such as bouncing a ball into a bin, combined with more complex agility-based challenges.

Players will start off with nine lives and will have to complete up to seven tasks to win the quarter of a million pounds – but if they accept the challenge and lose all of their lives, they will leave with absolutely nothing.

The first person to take on The Cube in the new series is hurling instructor Kevin, who ends up facing one of the biggest decisions of his life as he tries to succeed

The Cube returns to STV on Sunday, September 19 at 6.45pm and will be shown weekly.
