X Factor star Alexandra Burke has said she would support Simon Cowell in his decision to leave the talent show.
The singer said that it would be "nice" for him to pursue new projects.
It was suggested that Cowell was considering quitting The X Factor in the UK to focus on the US version which launches next year.
It was also reported that the singing competition would be axed, along with Britain's Got Talent.
Chatting on Daybreak about Cowell's potential departure, Burke said: "It's hard to really say when you don't know the facts of it and when you don't know if it's completely true.
"But I say, it's always nice to maybe try something new."
However, she added: "I come from that show so to have Simon Cowell not be there would definitely be weird, so to speak."
Meanwhile, Alexandra has announced details of her first UK tour.
The X Factor winner will begin her 18-date All Night Long tour in January next year.
