The Coronation Street cast have been photographed filming the funeral scenes for Jack Duckworth, according to a report.
Bill Tarmey announced he was to quit his role as Jack after nearly 30 years in the soap earlier this year.
Rumours have suggested that Jack will die after he is diagnosed with an incurable cancer.
Duckworth's new girlfriend Connie Rathbone (Rita May) will lead the mourners, along with his `adopted son' Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
Photographs show Jim McDonald (Charlie Lawson) paying his last respects to the pigeon-fancier.
Earlier this month, Lawson confirmed he would be back on our screens within the next few months and would play a part in the show's 50th anniversary episodes.
He told PA: "I'm going back into the Street for a few episodes... I haven't seen the scripts and even if I could, you know I couldn't.
"But I have no idea. I suspect either I'm going to get killed, or..."
Discussing Jack's funeral an onlooker told The Sun: "Even though it was only a telly funeral everyone looked sad.
"While the nation will miss Jack, the cast and crew will clearly miss Bill."
