A week after Josie opened up about the tragic circumstances surrounding her father’s death, boyfriend John James has spoken out about the horrific day his father died.
Normally bubbly and outgoing, the Big Brother favourites have revealed that they share a deep bond, comforting each other through the dark times.
In an exclusive interview with Ok!, John James explained that his father died in a building accident when a structure collapsed on him.
The Australian hunk revealed he was just 200 yards away from the site where the incident happened, two years ago.
Ok! reports that Josie held John James’ hand throughout the interview, squeezing it when it became difficult for him to recall the painful memories.
He said: "As I got older I respected how he was trying to bring me up. We were very close and we became mates. I’m grateful for the time we had together, I really am."
Josie used her warm, caring nature to lighten the situation by saying: "We said our dads are up in heaven chatting about us. Looking down, saying: ‘Oh, your son seems alright,’ and ‘Your daughter seems quite nice.’"
The couple are clearly in love and so happy that they have found each other, they are now planning to move to London together. Don’t you just love a happy ending?
