X Judge: Simon Cowell drops hint that he's quitting X factor and Britain's Got Talent Pic: Talkback Thames
Simon Cowell has dropped his biggest hint yet that the end of The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, as we know them, is nigh.
He told The Sun: "At the moment you are going to see me doing one show next year - and not one in England.
"I have a contract for this year and that is it."
Simon is set to quit the UK to concentrate on the US launch of The X Factor and he claims that this will leave him little time to work on Britain’s favourite shows.
Whatever happens, it looks like there is sure to be a shake up to the schedule, kicking off with X Factor.
Simon told the paper: "It will have to move. Do people want it back?
"I am going to sit it out for a few more weeks before I make a final decision. And it has to be fun. The minute it stops being fun, bye bye."
He went on to say that he may also quit Britain's Got Talent, adding that it is likely to get an entirely new judging panel, with Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden keen to concentrate on projects elsewhere.
An ITV source told The Sun: "We expect he'll be back on the X Factor. It's such a huge show and Simon is integral to it.
"We envision moving the show to October or November and screening the auditions while he does the live show in the States. Then he can return for the live shows in January."
