Ultimate Big Brother host Davina McCall has apologised to Nadia Almada after saying that the reality TV contestant had "boyish good looks".
Fans have been outraged by the comments made about the Portuguese sex swap housemate, who was evicted from the Channel 4 reality house on Friday.
Davina made the controversial remarks during a live broadcast for Big Brother's Big Mouth, says the Daily Star.
McCall has insisted that she made the comments "in jest", saying: "Nadia has always been one of my favourite housemates of all time.
"But if I upset her or indeed anyone by the comment I made then I am horrified and offer my genuine apologies.
"I know when she came out of the house she was upset by the boos. She was true to herself in the house and I totally respect her."
Nadia recently hit the headlines when she claimed that she had been "unfairly edited" during her stint on the show.
A spokesman for Big Brother told the newspaper that it was "inevitable" that some footage would not be featured in the highlights shows.
