X Factor boss Simon Cowell has predicted that Cheryl Cole can go on to become a global superstar now that she is divorced from footballing husband Ashley, says a report.
The entertainment mogul claimed that the divorce, coupled with her recent battle against malaria, has made Cheryl refocus on her career.
Simon told the Daily Mirror: "I think she's going to appreciate what she has and enjoy it more.
"I think you will see a sharp, focused Cheryl Cole when she returns."
He added: "We have spoken a lot and now she has a new sense of perspective. My feeling is that she is in a better place mentally.
"I think she realises she had taken on an awful lot of commitments. In a weird way this may have helped her manage her life better."
A recent report claimed that Cheryl is planning to move to Hollywood after Christmas.
Sources have claimed that Cole is hopeful that Cowell will give her a job on the panel of the planned US version of The X Factor in 2011.
