Cheryl Cole celebrated her divorce from Ashley by looking for a luxury pad in Hollywood, according to a report.
The X Factor judge reportedly told pals that she is planning to relocate to Los Angeles in the New Year.
Cheryl told pals that she will return to the US after filming ends for the live X Factor finals.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday: "Cheryl has told pals her New Year's resolution is to move to LA.
"She knows she needs to make it her permanent residence if she wants to crack America with her music.
"And now her and Ashley are divorced, there's no reason why she should stay in England.
"For the first time in months, Cheryl feels like she's completely in control of her life again."
The insider added: "She was obviously devastated about splitting with Ashley but now the divorce has gone through she feels a lot more positive.
"She even celebrated the quickie settlement by getting a new tattoo on her lower back to signify life without Ashley."
