Simon Cowell invited two warring X Factor contestants to view footage of the moment they came to blows on the show, says a report.
The entertainment mogul was reportedly "concerned" that airing the footage would cause problems for the pair.
Teenager Abbey Johnston threw a punch at her friend Lisa Parker on stage after the judging panel criticised their performance.
Following reports that Abbey faced abuse in her home town after a taster clip was shown, Cowell wanted the girls to view the footage to ensure they were happy with it being shown.
An X Factor source told the Daily Mirror: "Simon's first thought is always how viewers will react and he doesn't want to victimise or upset anyone who goes on stage.
"He thought it was a really memorable audition and the girls seem keen for it to be shown as well now after they spoke with the production team. They'll certainly become overnight stars."
Viewers will see Cowell tell the duo that they have the "worst attitude ever" after they begin abusing the pair before they even start singing.
Afterwards the pair from Leamington Spa, Warks, storm off stage swearing.
