Michelle Keegan: Nervous about live episode. Pic: Rex Pictures
Corrie star Michelle Keegan has admitted that she is worried about being part of the 50th anniversary live episode.
It has been confirmed that the Weatherfield drama will broadcast live as part of the birthday celebrations.
The live show is expected to feature the moments after a tram crashes onto the famous cobbled street.
Keegan joined the Manchester-based drama in 2008 to play Tina McIntyre.
She told the Daily Star: "There's a real buzz on set about it and there have been loads of meetings about what will happen and the storylines.
"I think everyone feels lucky to be a part of it. But I would panic.
"I'd probably wave at the camera and say hi to my mum."
She continued: "I'd shy away from being a part of a live episode. I'd run to the toilets because I would be so nervous.
"Trying to remember your lines and say them live would be a nightmare.
"Obviously, if I had to do it I would."
A Coronation Street spokeswoman said everyone was "very excited, if a little nervous" about the episode.
