Tantastic: Christine in one of her publicity shots Pic: ©ITV
She’s spoken out about hating the WAG tag in the past, but it seems that Christine Bleakley has now changed her mind, as she donned a rather Footballers’ Wives golden glow for the publicity shots for Daybreak.
Christine, who is currently dating footballer Frank Lampard, is making a return to TV this autumn to front the new breakfast show alongside her old BBC colleague Adrian Chiles.
The pair, who were poached from The One Show for the programme, which replaces GMTV, teamed up for a photoshoot promoting Daybreak recently.
And Christine certainly seemed to have slapped on a layer or two of fake tan to give her a golden glow for the snaps.
A BBC insider reportedly told the Daily Star that the reason Christine’s contract was cut short by the BBC was because the station “doesn’t do WAGS”. The Irish presenter is believed to have angered bosses after flying off to South Africa to see Lampard play in the World Cup.
However she has frequently denied that she enjoys the WAG lifestyle, and that she is "so not a WAG". Hmm, these pictures beg to differ!
Christine signed a reported £4million three-year deal with ITV after the BBC withdrew its offer of £900,000 for two years.
She will team up with her old presenter buddy Adrian for Daybreak when it launches next Monday. Old GMTV presenters including Andrew Castle and Emma Crosby will be leaving, while Kate Garraway has been given the role of entertainment editor.

WAG-TASTIC!
