Daddy's girl: Josie reveals details of tragic past and how her father would love John James Pic: Rex Features
The bubbly persona the nation fell in love with, masks the tragic past of Big Brother winner Josie Gibson.
In an exclusive interview with OK! magazine, Josie revealed details of the circumstances surrounding her father’s death.
She said: "It happened when I was little, about ten, or maybe younger. My dad was having an affair with my uncle's missus, who he as kids with. From what I know, there was a fight.
"A knife was thrown and my dad got stabbed in the leg. It went through a main artery and he bled to death. [Josie takes a deep breath]. My uncle was done for manslaughter, it wasn't murder."
Josie went on to tell the magazine that she truly believes her father would have approved of boyfriend John James.
She said: "Tragic things happen in life. If my dad was here now, I think he would love John James."
Josie’s mum has already given the Australian hunk the family seal of approval.
