Alex and Katie: Trying for a baby. Pic: ITV
Alex Reid has revealed that he has lifted his four-week sex ban to concentrate on trying for a baby with wife Katie Price, says a report.
The reality TV star has insisted that his marriage is not facing difficulties but he failed to reveal why Katie had gone off on holiday to Portugal without him or why she had withdrawn from her recent work commitments at the Edinburgh Television Festival.
Alex told Star magazine: "We know how tight we are.
"We want a baby and we wouldn't do that if our relationship wasn't really secure. Just think about it!"
The cage-fighter revealed that he had decided to overturn his self-imposed four-week sex ban ahead of his bout with Tom "Kong" Watson.
Reid had claimed that abstinence would make him more aggressive ahead of the mixed martial arts battle.
Alex explained: "As we were both away last week, we had to break the rules when we got back!
"I'm not that strict about it, to be honest. I just think it makes me more determined. I'm sure she will always be able to tempt me, though.
"She certainly did before my last fight, and, let's be realistic, she probably will again.
"Being on my own also meant I was free to get on with my training. The fight isn't far away now so I am really upping my game."
