The X Factor judge is seen crying after Mary Byrne takes to the stage during the auditions in Dublin.
The supermarket worker surprises Cheryl and the judging panel with her powerful performance of Shirley Bassey's I Who Have Nothing.
Sources told the Daily Star that Cole was left "stunned" by the "incredible power and emotion" of her performance.
Cheryl tells the shy performer: "That was my favourite audition in Dublin."
X Factor boss Simon Cowell is also impressed by the 45-year-old's performance.
He tells her: "I think, no, I know, you have an amazing voice.
"I don't know why you suffer from no confidence.
Simon added: "I absolutely love her, she is genuinely a lovely woman with great talent and I hope the audience loves her too. She deserves this break."
Sources told the newspaper that Cowell has said that he believes that Byrne could go on to emulate the global success of Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle.
