Dermot O'Leary has said that X Factor boss Simon Cowell is "tougher than ever", according to a report.
The show host has revealed that the entertainment mogul is determined that the new series of the reality TV talent will be the best ever.
Dermot told a Sunday newspaper that Cowell's engagement to Mezhgan Hussainy hasn't turned him soft.
O'Leary told the News of the World: "He is more hard-nosed than ever.
"Domestic bliss hasn't made Simon any softer. That box is ticked so he can concentrate on kicking ****."
Dermot also revealed that Cowell has been texting him with new ideas for the show in the middle of the night.
He said: "I get texts at 2am saying things like, 'Thought how we can change something,' and you're like, 'I'm in bed. I'll see you in eight hours!'"
