Katie Price has caused controversy after claiming that children whose parents are divorced are "lucky", says a report.
The reality TV star claimed that children from broken homes have two sets of parents and get two lots of birthday presents.
She told This Morning: "Any child that has parents who are divorced are lucky. They get extra Christmas presents, birthday presents and extra trips."
The former glamour model told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford that she was glad that she split from Peter Andre while her children were young, claiming that she thinks that they will "forget" about the split when they are older.
She explained: "I revert back to when my mum and dad split up
"I was three or four and I can't even remember it.
"So really it was good it happened at that age because if it had happened when the kids were a bit older then I think it probably could have affected them."
However, her comments have been slammed by some children's groups.
Norman Wells, from the Family Education Trust, told the Daily Star: "Kate is being pretty naive if she really thinks the children of divorced parents are lucky.
"Most children from broken homes feel a great sense of sadness and would like nothing more than to have their parents back together.
"The idea extra presents can compensate for children being separated from one of their parents is sheer madness."
