Nathan Wylde finds himself in the "worst nightmare imaginable" when he is framed for murder by his own mother in 'Emmerdale'.

Lyndon Ogbourne - who plays the troublesome farmer - can't believe his screen mother Natasha Wylde (Amanda Donohoe) has allowed his character to be arrested for the murder of his father Mark Wylde (Maxwell Caulfield), even though she is guilty.

He said: "It's like the worst nightmare imaginable and he can't believe what's happening to him."

Nathan and his mother had planned to frame Mark's other wife Faye or her son Ryan for the killing - but Lyndon admits their scheme hasn't gone to plan.

He said: "The whole frame-up scenario was intended to throw the scent off his mum Natasha. Now he could be the one facing a life sentence for murder."

Lyndon also admits that his character's behaviour doesn't help himself.

He said: "He wasn't prepared for this. Never did he imagine he'd be under suspicion. He feels trapped and becomes very aggressive and emotional which makes the police even more suspicious."

However the actor warns that Nathan could turn the tables on his mother.

He told Soaplife magazine: "What he doesn't know is that she lied to him. She told him Mark's death was an accident when it was murder. If he finds that out he might shop her himself."
