Chiwetel Ejiofor , Christopher Eccleston and Stephen Rea are to team up for new BBC Two series 'The Shadow Line'.
The TV heavyweights are all set to star in the network's upcoming thriller about an array of different individuals whose lives become entwined through the murder of drug baron Harvey Wratten.
Ben Stephenson, Controller of Drama Commissioning, said: "As we continue our drive to build a bold and exciting drama story on BBC Two with commissions like Crimson Petal and The Hour, I am thrilled that we have attracted such world class talent to Hugo Blick's thrilling scripts. Chiwetel and Chris are two of our finest actors and we couldn't be more excited to have them, and the rest of the amazing cast, on board for this original and epic six hour series."
Chiwetel - who recently starred alongside Angelina Jolie in 'Salt' - has made the move back to British television with the lead in this upcoming production.
The coveted stars will also appear alongside Sir Antony Sher, Rafe Spall, Kierston Wareing, Lesley Sharp Sean Gilder in the upcoming six-hour series.
'The Shadow Line' begins filming in the Isle of Man next month and will be directed by Hugo Blick.
