X Factor bosses have denied claims that Geri Halliwell was unpopular with the public at the Glasgow auditions. It was reported that the former Spice Girl was booed by fans.
It is thought that the audience were unhappy that she rejected a popular singer named Katie when she had the casting vote.
Geri is appearing as a guest on the judging panel as Dannii Minogue is in Australia where she is due to give birth next month.
Sources have revealed that Halliwell was booed throughout the second half of the day following her controversial choice and was heckled with chants of "Bring back Dannii! Bring back Dannii!".
An X Factor spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "There were reactions from the crowd. There were reactions to all the judges as much as there was to Geri."
The auditions move to Birmingham next week and singer Pixie Lott is expected to join the team.
Katy Perry and Aussie singer Natalie Imbruglia have also been confirmed as guest panelists.
Imbruglia will be part of the Birmingham auditions on June 13 and June 14.
