Eye eye: Big Brother returns tonight
Big Brother 11 kicks off tonight and show bosses have promised that this will be the most explosive and entertaining series ever.
As the final ever series of the fly-on-the-wall show, viewers will be hoping that the show goes with a bang.
And as we wait in eager anticipation – wondering if any of the five Scots who are rumoured to be lined-up to take part actually make it onto the show - stv.tv takes a look back at some of the best Scottish contestants who have made it such an iconic programme.
One of the most memorable housemates was outspoken Ayrshire man Mikey Hughes. Hailing from Kilwinning in Ayrshire, Mikey was the first ever blind contestant to make it onto BB, and he soon made waves, earning a reputation as one of the most vocal people on the programme.
Mikey had opinions on every issue, something which both earned him respect and rubbed people up the wrong way, but at the same time helped made him a memorable - and one of the more interesting - housemates.
Perhaps the total opposite of Mikey was virginal Orcadian Cameron Stout, who appeared in the fourth series of the programme in 2003.
A former fish trader, Cameron’s wholesome nature earned him a reputation as one of the most boring housemates - but he still managed to win the series. Still a fan of BB, Cameron has admitted he doesn’t know what he’ll do once Big Brother ends this summer.

Then there was Glaswegian Federico Martone, a former waiter-cum-restaurateur who was also in BB4, but was knocked out of the show in the fourth week.
Federico has made a number of appearances in the media since his time on the show, and even returned to the legendary house last year as part of the anniversary celebrations – and soon caused mayhem by revealing information that was strictly forbidden, including the news that King of Pop Michael Jackson had passed away.
Other Scots who made it into the house include Jason Cowan who appeared in BB5. Some might remember him as a housemate who loved loved nothing more than getting his kit off. Pretty Shell Jubin was another plucky contestant, who didn’t mind a bit of nudity and shocked the nation by mowing the lawn in nothing more than a scarf.
Edinburgh dance teacher, Dennis McHugh from, Aberdonian Lynne Montcrieff and Glaswegian Shahbaz Chauhdry have also appeared on the show over the years.
