Dancing on Ice judge Emma Bunton has landed a prime job on the GMTV sofa alongside her fiance Jade Jones, according to a report.

GMTV executives have lured the former Spice Girl and the ex Damage singer to the breakfast chatshow.

Sources told The Sun that the showbiz couple will provide holiday cover for Lorraine Kelly.

Insiders revealed that Emma will interview the celebrity guests while Jade will highlight his culinary skills in the GMTV kitchen.

TV sources have confessed that show bosses have called the couple the new Fern and Phil after This Morning legends chef Phil Vickery and wife Fern Britton.

A source said: "It is a massive coup getting Emma and Jade.

"If the chemistry between them is good they could be the next Fern and Phil."

GMTV bosses recently revealed that the breakfast show is to undergo a complete revamp.

This must be a right slap in the face for the REAL journalists - those people who spent YEARS at University STUDYING to become a journalist/presenter. Instead we get someone who can just about hit a right note (and that's with all the technical help!) and her boyfriend who is a TRAINEE chef. Another slap in the chops for the guys n gals who slogged their guts out to learn from the bottom up - but don't have a famous partner to help them on their way! Also, thought we were getting "class" at GMTV not cr@p? Bunton's presenting (and judging) skills are rubbish. In fact, I quite liked her until she appeared on DOI but after a couple of shows, thought she knew more than the experts. Her comments were totally inane - absolute drivel, in fact. If this is what we've got to look forward to, I guess I won't be watching THOSE segments of GMTV. BTW: Think someone's got their wires crossed. The "Phil & Fern" phenomena were Phillip Schofield and Fern, NOT Fern and her husband, nice guy though he is!
