Britain's Got Talent superstar Susan Boyle has performed at the funeral of her voice coach's mum. The Scots singer gave a surprise performance of Amazing Grace for the mourners.
The 48-year-old singer admitted that she owes alot to the Britain's Got Talent and X Factor vocal coach Yvie Burnett for her guidance and support.
Boyle got to know Yvie's mum Molly well when she rehearsed at the Burnett's home in Bedford.
Susan made the round trip from her home in West Lothian to attend Molly's funeral service in Methlick, Aberdeenshire.
The service also featured music from some of Yvie's celebrity pals who were unable to be there.
Music from Sarah Brightman, Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts and X Factor stars Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke were performed at the service.
A family friend told the Daily Record: "Susan not only attended the service but sang Amazing Grace. A lot of people in the church were moved to tears.
"Yvie had a very close bond with her mum and she read out her own tribute describing her as 'a wonderful mother'."
