Dancing on Ice star Hayley Tamaddon was kept in the dark about her secret half brother, a report has claimed.
The former Emmerdale actress grew up believing that Alex Salanki was a close friend of the family after her father Nassi kept the details of his secret love child from her.
Hayley, who is the favourite to win the Dancing on Ice title, only discovered Alex's true identity in November, says the News of World.
Sources told the newspaper that Nassi broke down in floods of tears while confessing the shocking secret.
The insider said: "Everyone was shocked when the truth finally came out, but it was a huge relief to Alex who had been forced to keep it secret for so long.
"Hayley and her brother had always been really close to him but neither of them had any idea how close they really were."
Sources close to Alex have revealed that he has been closely following Hayley's career and wants her to win Dancing on Ice.
A pal said: "Alex is desperate for Hayley to win on Sunday night - but he wants to be able to cheer her on as her brother and not just a friend of the family."
